I am a Lecturer at Harvard University in the Social Studies program. I was previously Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Boston University, teaching ancient and contemporary political theory. I received my Ph.D. in political theory from Johns Hopkins University in June 2022.
I examine the factors that facilitate or frustrate responsiveness to large-scale structural injustices. My current manuscript examines this problem in relation to climate change. Titled Structural Injustice and Climate Responsiveness, the book argues that horizontalist and prefigurative forms of political action can better motivate ecological responsiveness than dominant models of democracy.
My articles on democracy and structural injustice have appeared in the Journal of Social Philosophy and Emancipations: A Journal of Critical Social Analysis. I am currently preparing an article on climate justice activism and democratic theory. In 2021, I was a finalist for the Johns Hopkins University Excellence in Teaching Award.
